Love that Booty

We can all focus on things we feel might be better about our bodies – apparently it’s the number one thing that all women do. We’d like you to think about that and try to change this damaging inner voice.
When you criticize your body, you actually feed it negativity, which is not good for you energetically. The way we think, feel about and feed our bodies is a pure reflection of the self-love we have … or don’t have. Anything we think is ‘bad’ about our bodies is only because we have been fed marketing and fashion nonsense. Who dictated there is only one ideal shape that we simply must be? There are many forms of beauty, and a far better option is to view your body as the awesome machine it is.
Even if you only ever say to yourself: ‘I respect you and I’m going to look after you the best I can’, it’s a lot more positive than being abusive and critical, silently and on a daily basis.
Your body has a momentous task in life – it’s here to help you evolve, get you where you want to go (Mount Everest, anyone!), run the New York marathon or perhaps to have children at some stage. The point is you must start respecting it and yourself, no matter what shape you think you’re in.
Respect means finding out what you need and then giving it to yourself. Love means you affirm to yourself and a higher power if necessary that you deserve to be having the best food and nutrition possible and that you love yourself enough to want to do that. Food is your gift of love to yourself and the first sign of respect you give your body. Deprive yourself of food and you deny your body love.
We are all walking around as engineering miracles as far as science is concerned. Your body is the most extraordinary machine you are ever likely to be in contact with. It needs to be looked after, respected and admired – by you, not necessarily by anyone else. You’ll drag it all over the world and make it tolerate all kinds of things but it stays with you, trying to do you right, throughout your life. It’s only fair that you return the favor!
Never mind what anyone else thinks, the body wants to live and it is specifically designed to survive. Before the real journey can begin, you have to like yourself as you are here and now. Just doing that will bring major changes to your body! The next thing you need to do is to start listening to your body. It’s very good at giving clues as to what works for it and what doesn’t. Amazing things happen when you truly love yourself as you are.
Like. Listen. Love. Live.
