Real Food for Real Life

Real girls and young women need real food for real life – that much is clear. Some magazine, advertising and fashion models may not eat much or profess to not needing food in order to be able to do their job, or for a host of other reasons, but that’s not what is healthy in the long term.
All women should know that a photograph can completely deceive. The camera does lie when it’s used for certain purposes. There are lenses to make people look thinner than they are. There are certain known angles that make more – or less – or a silhouette. But the camera at certain other angles can be extremely unflattering no matter what shape the subject is. That is one reason why models are often paranoid and accordingly don’t eat or eat as little as they can to still be a good “coat hanger” for the clothes they wear in photographs or on the catwalk. No one looks that way all the time (not even the models themselves!) and it is unrealistic that anyone should aspire to look that way.
Ask a professional athlete what she eats and it’s a totally different story. These girls can’t be waif-thin – they wouldn’t win matches, races or tournaments. An athlete needs a lot of food to build muscles for strength and endurance. They try and eat more not less. And they are usually – if they’re serious about performance – very concerned with the fuel they put into their body and would never dream of missing a meal. Most athletes have an excellent understanding of what they run on to produce their personal best. As we all should! Personally, I remain optimistic that more young women will admire the healthy physiques and eating habits of athletes rather than fashion models in the future.
“If you are a real girl living life to the fullest, you need tons of energy to get what you want from your body and to maintain high levels of energy.”
If you are a real girl living life to the fullest, you need tons of energy to get what you want from your body and to maintain high levels of energy. Treat yourself well: vow to only put fresh, wholesome food into your system. Each person has a unique body and body chemistry though, and here’s where the confusion begins. As any viewer of the popular television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation can tell you, no one else has your DNA! There is nothing exactly the same about our shape or body chemistry from one person to the next. No one looks like you and you don’t look like anyone else. That’s why no one needs what you need, especially, to be at your healthiest.
