Yen Young Australian Artist Review
The opening night of the 2012 Yen Australian Women’s Art Award saw a kaleidoscope of bright, exciting young artistic talent showcased in one of Sydney’s most innovative Contemporary Jewellery and object art spaces, Gaffa Gallery. Every year, Yen magazine hosts an exhibition and prize for female Australian artists aged between 18 and 35 to encourage and support further artistic development. The exhibition displaying the work of the 20 finalists was opened on the 8th of March to coincide with International Women’s Day.

Recently, on a balmy Friday night I was fortunate enough to attend the launch of the latest Girlosophy book, ‘Inspire’. The word itself appeared luminous in author Anthea Paul’s looping cursive in the form of a neon beacon beckoning me towards Paddington’s Global Galleries.
