Write
Poetry is not dead! (Or, why I love a good Haiku)
For anyone who hasn’t yet had the experience, the discovery of the world of poetry is joyful. Poems are the simplest to read yet are often the most difficult things to write well.
Writer’s block. It can be a blessing (at least you’re not writing rubbish!) or a curse (you’re on deadline and feeling the pressure to perform).
Try and be fair when you write about people. This is good practice for day-to-day dealings in any case.
Beginning anything is often the hardest part. With writing, starting with the blank page or screen has been an obstacle for writers the world over!
We should express ourselves creatively in all formats available. We should also express ourselves on subjects where others don’t have the voice or the opportunity to do so.
Are you considering writing about your own life? We all have stories. It’s bringing them to life that can be the challenge.
