What we don’t like: Makeup on Bunnies

The majority of us girls really do like to use make up, and love the freedom, femininity and creativity it allows. However you may not know (or like to think about) the amount of scientific work and testing, particularly animal testing that goes into so many types of make up. Hundreds and thousands of animals, such as mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and others are blinded, poisoned and painfully killed due to cosmetic testing each year.
Whilst more than 1000 companies have pledged to ban animal testing in their product development, thousands more have not (and are not required to by law). But if you still want to wear make up, but don’t want to feel terrible about hurting animals PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) have compiled a list of the nice ones that are pure and free from this kind of mis-treatment.
We have broken down the list to a few of the brands we like and use ourselves, see below. But for the full list, and companies from heaps of other categories of companies and products who don’t test on animals, visit PETA.
