Mind over matter, it’s all in your head!

Breaking up or breaking down? The aftermath of any relationship breakup is a good opportunity to check out the mysterious workings of your own personal computer – the one that’s on top of your shoulders, that is!

If you’ve been stuck in a rut relationship-wise or perhaps just stuck in general, you may need a change of software.  If things are really chaotic ‘in there’, you might have to check out your hard-wiring too, but that’s a taller order.  For that major kind of overhaul you may need some extra help and support in the form of counseling or ongoing therapy to get you there.

Remember, if you or a friend are suffering from depression and have thought about doing harm to either yourself or others, you need to get professional support and help at this time.

But wherever you find yourself, be kind to yourself.  You deserve it.  It’s also useful to keep this in mind: there are many variables at work in your own head and some have played a part in whatever happened regarding your relationship.  And there are just as many variables in your ex-partner’s mind.  The mental variables each of you have brought to your relationship become critical in the event of a breakup.

“Live and let love as the saying goes. Sometimes letting go allows the love to return.”

All this pretty much dictates how you each handle things (move on, that is) from that point. Who can let go and let love? Live and let love as the saying goes. Sometimes letting go allows the love to return. The process is the process and as soon as we allow it to unfold in its own mysterious ways (rather than tightly holding on to try and control everything) we reap the benefits.

When you really think about it (and I’m sure you will), with all the variables in play, it’s incredible that we get relationships off the ground at all!

Be kind to yourself now. We’re backing you.
