Hawai'i: Let it come. Let it flow.
I'm not necessarily a believer in coincidence, but last year my life changed direction dramatically in a matter of weeks, and it felt like it was in the stars. I left my outwardly glamorous life working in corporate advertising in Sydney, to relocate to the middle of the Hawai'ian jungle.
Saskia one of our new favourite contributors recently returned from volunteering at an Indian orphanage and travelling through Nepal. She took some absolutely stunning photos that have totally inspired everyone here at Girlosophy. We hope her travel experience may encourage others to give there time and expertise in the developing world.
Last month’s crisp copy of Empire magazine? A miniature subtropical indoor fern? Another ginger crème brulee tart? Well, don’t mind if I do! On a personal level, I have to thank 24 year-old artist and curator Lauren Carroll Harris for revamping the usual red and white Home Brand colour scheme of my weekly grocery for two weeks in June this year. Her brain-child exhibition The Free Market at Sydney’s Kudos Gallery’s saw my lunchbox filled with free gourmet goods of the kind that I usually only drool at through Surry Hills window displays....
